Economic effects of the Feldberg ski area

Around 40 million euros - this is the contribution that alone the Feldberg Ski Resort contributes per season to the tourist gross sales in the Black Forest. In an analysis of the economic impacts of the largest German ski area outside the Alps Montenius Consult determined not only the gross sales caused by the operation of the ski area but also the resulting income effects, employment and fiscal effects. The study was commissioned by the Institute for Nature Sports and Ecology at the German Sport University Cologne, which developed a concept for sustainable development of sports tourism destination Feldberg.
