In 2009, the Bavarian State Government launched a programme to promote small ski resorts.

These can receive up to 35 percent of the investment in the modernisation of their facilities as non-repayable subsidies. After numerous other ski areas in the Allgäu region have already improved their competitiveness with the help of this programme, the Söllereck is now also seeking support from the state as part of its ambitious modernisation concept.

After Montenius Consult had already prepared the profitability calculation for the overall project with an investment volume of 42.9 million euros, Christoph Schrahe also formulated the four funding applications - one for each of the planned expansion steps. The Schrattenwand lift, the first new installation, is to be built as early as 2019.
