Pre-feasibility study Saif-ul-Maluk Ski Resort, Pakistan

The mountain village of Naran, 240 km from Islamabad, is a popular holiday resort and already offers numerous hotels. One of the main attractions of the region is Lake Saif-ul-Maluk, which can be reached from Naran by jeep via a mountain road. The Pakistani government has now put the construction and operation of a cable car from Naran to the lake at an altitude of around 3,200 m out to tender.

As part of the bidding process, Montenius Consult prepared a preliminary study for one of the bidders on the feasibility of a winter sports operation - until now, only summer operation had been planned for the cable car in the snowy area.
