Profitability calculation Turmbergbahn

Various options were available for the modernization of the Turmbergbahn and its connection to the tram network of the city of Karlsruhe. Montenius Consult prepared a visitor forecast for the preferred options identified in a technical feasibility study.

A particular challenge was the assessment of the planned extended operating times resulting from the intended integration of the Turmgbahn into the public transport system. In addition, the variants differed considerably in terms of comfort and accessibility. Intensive discussions with local residents and an in-depth analysis of the user structures finally created the basis for the most important input variable in the profitability calculation.
